So, Yori is a powerful mindreader with no off switch. The good news is he largely treats the daily thoughtdump as background noise, unless they have very "loud" thoughts -- hard to ignore that. I just need to know if Yori can or can't read your muse's mind and what it might entail.
Yori hears surface thoughts; he can read the minds of humans and animals just fine, with non-humans he generally only their thoughts in bits and pieces unless he's making an effort to hear them more clearly, and can still get denied by anyone capable of doing so. Non-organics like robots are iffier, since technically he reads "hearts", so I will leave it up to mun discretion whether or not he can read them! He can rummage through memories or thoughts that people might not even be aware they are thinking if he focuses on someone, but this is likely not going to come up much because Yori likes keeping his identity intact kthx. He has this bad habit of mistakenly answering thoughts, but otherwise people's thoughts will be kept between him and the respective persons, for most of the part.
He will almost always apply a certain level of focus whenever he talks to someone face-to-face, usually just enough that he can hear their surface thoughts clearly -- people will be able to feel it as if someone's staring straight into their mind. He also copies speech patterns and physical tics the longer the conversation goes on. Feel free to have your characters notice either of these!
Another thing is that Yori tends to end up watching people's dreams when he's asleep, as they would experience it from their point of view. He is 100% a spectator and can't influence the dream in any way, and only lucid dreamers might be aware there's someone watching. He won't necessarily be able to tell whose dream he's been watching lately if there isn't enough for him to infer from. This is really more for potential plotting purposes so have at it?!
